Precautions in case of danger

   

The EV vehicle comes equipped with a high voltage battery that can cause serious injury, like electric shocks, or even death when malfunctioning or mishandled, so follow the manual below. For additional information refer to Emergency Rescue Guide (ERG).

Precautions in case of fire in a high voltage battery system

1.In case of an indoor fire, ventilate to release hydrogen gas.

2.When extinguishing fires that involve the high voltage battery, a large amount of water is directly sprayed onto the battery to cool. (Spray water until the battery is submerged to cool it down.)

3.When extinguishing wire harnesses or others, an ABC fire extinguisher may be used.

Precautions for high voltage battery gas and electrolyte leakage

1.After turning start button OFF, keep the smart key at least 2 meters (6.5 feet) away from the vehicle to prevent unintentional starting.

2.Since the gas is hydrogen and alkaline vapor, immediately ventilate the room and evacuate to a safe place.

3.If the leaked liquid comes in contact with skin, immediately cleanse the affected area with tap water or saline salt water, then get medical attention.

4.When the leaked vapor or liquid get in the eye, immediately clean with running water then get medical attention.

5.In case of gas leakage due to high temperature, do not use the high voltage battery until it is completely cooled to room temperature.
